I haven't done this for a long time because I've been blessed to have a steady stream of people taking my class. However, it seems that came to a rather sudden end. I have been teaching the North Carolina Concealed Carry Handgun Permit Class for 16 years (3830 people in 1273 classes).
There have been slow times, but never like this! I wonder if people are thinking that a new law has passed allowing concealed carry without a permit? Or, maybe, that law is going to pass soon? Here's a news flash for ya: Those bills are not going to pass the Legislature, and if they do by some miracle, they will never make it past Governor Stein's veto. I know that about 30 states have permitless carry, but even some of those states still require a concealed carry permit from somewhere.
So, you still need that permit if you're going to carry concealed in North Carolina and in other states. And, you have to take the class to get the permit. So, come on over and let's take care of that!
I see those ads on Facebook, and I get the emails, declaring that you can "get started on the process" to obtain your CC permit good in 2/3rds of the country! That's not totally true! It is true that you can start the process. You will be taking a 20 minute, online "class" for "free". You will pay a fee to get the certificate. That certificate will not get you a CC permit in North Carolina. Virginia doesn't recognize online certificates anymore, either!
The "training" will not prepare you to carry, or use force legally. The class I teach is a professional presentation of all aspects of firearms ownership, safety, marksmanship and law of self defense. You will be certified to apply for the NC Concealed Carry Handgun Permit which will allow you to carry in 38 states, and allow you to purchase in North Carolina!
You get what you pay for!
People are waiting to get into a class that has 20, 30 and more students! I teach more classes, on more people's schedules. Therefore, my classes are smaller - 1 to 6 people, typically.
And, people are waiting to take a class and pay $150 and more for the same class! Amazing!!! My classes are $100. I provide the gun and ammunition so you don't need to even have a gun!
I know: It sounds too good to be true. But, it is true! I've been teaching these classes since June of 2009. Over 1270 classes, more than 3800 students have passed through this classroom. They were beginners and pros, men and women, doctors, nurses, airline pilots, hairdressers, food service workers, police officers, military officers, pastors, liberals, conservatives, people from all walks of life, all races.
And, they refer their friends, family and co-workers to me! Now, there's a source of amazement to me! What does that tell you?
Some of those classes were even scheduled for odd times. There have been classes which were 2 sessions, 3 sessions, on different days, even spread across 3 weeks! That one was 3 hours on 3 Tuesdays. I am flexible and able to work within YOUR schedule.

North Carolina Concealed Carry - Handgun (NC CCH)
This course is the North Carolina Justice Academy Model Course which has been approved by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission. Completion of this course earns the participant the certificate required by NC General Statutes to obtain a Concealed Carry - Handgun Permit. This course covers:
Legal Issues Governing Concealed Handgun Carry and The Use of Deadly Force updated to reflect any changes in the law.
Safe Gun Handling, Concealed Carry Safety, Safe Storage, Cleaning and Maintenance, Marksmanship Fundamentals, Presentation Techniques, In-Depth Basic Firearms Function, How Ammunition Works, and Range Safety.
Carrying a concealed handgun is an awesome responsibility. The consequences of improperly wielding such dangerous power demands participants be highly responsible, deeply considerate of others and genuinely honest in their commitments. Participants must be prepared mentally, morally, spiritually and financially for the careful consideration of the lifestyle of carrying a concealed firearm and the consequences for using deadly force in defense of themselves and others.
